A: CIOs need to understand the business at a strategic level, managing relationships at every level. Even though business leaders are increasingly tech-savvy, they do not necessarily always grasp the detail of the intersection between people, process and technology that will facilitate delivery of the right tooling to the right role profiles at the right time.

Digital transformation is here to stay, but we must move from IT owning it to cocreating with business partners. Whether it's about delivering a seamless customer experience or building intelligent supply chains or scaling AI responsibility, shared understanding and co-ownership are needed from day one.
